A month ago it seemed like all of a sudden my Facebook and Instagram feeds were full of women with FabFitFun boxes, claiming you'd receive around $200 worth of products for $40 with a subscription. Being an avid subscription lover with Ipsy and wanting to stretch my dollar as far as possible, I decided I'd try the Fall box out. I was curious to see if all the 'hype' was worth it. I am nowhere near cool enough to be sponsored for this post, I spent my own money so my opinions are truly my own. Here is my honest and unpaid review of the Fall FabFitFun box...
FabFitFun is a quarterly subscription box that for $49.99 members receive a box every season filled with 8-10 full-sized products. When I signed up I honestly didn't care about membership perks, I just wanted the box.
Signing up was easy but a bit of a process. You start off with a checklist of products you'd be most excited to receive ranging from haircare/skincare and makeup to jewelry/accessories and crafts. With each product type you'd select from four options: Love it, Like it, Just OK, and Hate it. After that comes a questionnaire that gets more specific of your product preferences like what kind of scents do you prefer? or what color of jewelry do you like? Next, the questions move on to your skin and hair type, and what size clothes/shoes/jewelry you wear. This process took roughly 15 minutes.
Then was my favorite part of the entire experience, I got to personalize my box with a few choices in specific products!
What first drew me to try the box were the pictures of the purse that kept popping up in my feed. One of my favorite accessories is purses so obviously it was my first choice! I chose the french press for my husband, I really don't care for coffee but he does. Lastly, I didn't need an umbrella so I went with the earbuds.
The worst part came after ordering my box, only after the order went through was I told that it would take a month for my box to arrive in the mail. I don't like to wait normally but after the first week passed I kind of forgot about it. When it finally arrived it felt like Christmas morning and Easton was in love with the box itself.
The moment I'd been waiting for, opening the box!
In the end I received nine products plus a promotional rice bar along with the FabFitFun magazine and an offer for Hello Fresh. Here are the products and what they retail for:
In total I spent $43.49 with free shipping to get this box and I received $356.98 worth of full size products. That's insane! I can honestly say that the FabFitFun box is worth it, even if I didn't have a $10 discount to begin with.
So far I've used the exfoliant which not only smells amazing but made my skin feel so clean. I also used the GlamGlow sheet mask and it was literally the most fun mask I've ever used. You wear it for 3 minutes and during that time it begins to bubble up as the oxygenating begins and after you remove it you're left with a foam to continue rubbing into your face. The mask, also, left my skin feeling so clean and refreshed. The Cylo earbuds charged fast but were a little tricky to stay in place in my ears, after a little adjusting I got them to stay put for 4o minutes while I used them. I haven't used the other products yet but I'm excited and anxious too, especially since I've loved everything else so far.
The FabFitFun box was well worth my money spent and I'd happily get it again, I would rate it 9/10 stars only because the wait was so long. I can't say that I would get it every season while I'm on a limited budget, just because I'm being conscious of how I spend my money at the moment, but once I have a regular paycheck again, I will excitedly get it every season.
I hope you enjoyed this honest momma review! If you'd like to sign up for a Fall FabFitFun box and receive a $10 discount and free shipping, like I did, just use the code 'HONEYS.'
I'm a twenty-something mama who honestly has no clue what I want to do in life at the moment. For the longest time that scared me but now I embracing it and documenting it here.
